Survey & Analysis of the Health Needs & Disparities of the Immigrant Population

In 2001, IA/NEPCA partnered with the Iowa Department of Public Health, Bureau of Health Care Access to gather information on the unmet needs and health disparities of the new immigrant population in Iowa.  The results of this initial survey and analysis were published in June 2001 and included a survey of Perry, Ottumwa, Sioux City, as well as Louisa County.

Subsequent surveys have been expanded to include Council Bluffs, Denison, Hampton, Lenox, and Storm Lake in 2002, and Belmond, Clarion, Eagle Grove, Hawarden, and West Liberty in 2003.
