President and Chief Executive Officer
Gary Rees was named President/CEO of the Community Health Centers of Southern Iowa in January 2005. As a start up organization, Mr. Rees’ first responsibility is to work with the medical community, business leaders, and healthcare consumers to develop and integrate the centers’ comprehensive primary care objectives with all providers to meet the needs of the community it serves.
Mr. Rees brings over 30 years of experience in healthcare, human resources, and administration to Decatur County. Living and working in Iowa since 1989, Rees most recently served in various healthcare positions in Sioux City including that city’s community health center. Rees has a Bachelors degree in Journalism, and Masters degrees in Counseling and Health Management.
In addition to his involvement in healthcare, Rees has participated in many civic activities and task forces that include childhood development, mental health, education, chamber of commerce, and emergency preparedness.
