IN 2001, IA/NEPCA served as a pilot for the Statewide Strategic Planning (SSP) process developed by the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) and the Bureau of Primary Health Care. This effort began a process that continues to guide community development activities to respond to President Bush’s initiative to increase by 6 million the number of people served by Community Health Centers over a five-year period.
