Iowa/Nebraska Primary Care Association

Established in 1988, the Iowa/Nebraska Primary Care Association (IA/NEPCA) is a bi-state non-profit membership association comprised of community health centers and other safety net providers in Iowa and Nebraska.

Mission

The mission of the Iowa/Nebraska Primary Care Association is to provide development support services and programs to its member community and migrant health centers.  Iowa and Nebraska community and migrant health centers exist to provide affordable, accessible, and acceptable primary health care to Iowans and Nebraskans.  The role of the Iowa/Nebraska Primary Care Association:

·         Promote the concept of quality, primary, preventive, and ameliorative healthcare through a comprehensive primary healthcare delivery system.

·         Provide a forum allowing primary care practitioners, healthcare center and clinic administrators, health department professionals, and political and community leaders to interact and share information.

·         Monitor federal and state legislation to assure the primary care needs of Iowans and Nebraskans are adequately reflected in public policy.

·         Sponsor conferences, training opportunities, and workshops on topics of interest.

IA/NEPCA members provide prevention-oriented primary care, oral and behavioral health services reaching more than 130,000 patients who would otherwise lack access to healthcare because of insurance status, geographic isolation, or cultural differences.
